1) What are you doing to that poor cat in the picture at the top of this page?!?

Helping him. The cat has been sedated and is being x-rayed. By the way, the cat was treated successfully.

2) Does Brookville Road Animal Hospital treat animals besides dogs and cats?

No. In our early days we treated a variety of farm animals including horses, cows, goats and sheep. However, we now specialize in the treatment of canine and feline companion animals.

3) Are vaccines for cats and dogs required by law?

Several vaccines are required by law. Some are simply highly recommended. Feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements.

4) Can dogs be poisoned by eating chocolate?

Absolutely. Canine chocolate toxicity is related to a chemical found in the cocoa. Depending on the amount of cocoa in the chocolate, the amount consumed and the weight of the dog, chocolate poisoning can result in symptoms ranging from hyperactivity to death.

5) Can cats get rabies?

Yes, but it is very rare. It can easily be prevented and controled with proper vaccination.
